First Agility Trial


This weekend I had the pleasure of watching Lanceat his first ever agility trial at our very own Taking the Lead CPE Trial.  It was so much fun seeing this handsome young boy in the agility ring.  he acted like the silly-goofy young boy he was but it was evident their is a promising future for Laura and Lance in agility.  This coming weekend Bogey, Lance's littermate,  will make his agility debut in Dexter.  I wish I could be there to see him and Kim in the ring for the first time. Kim we will be sending you our best thoughts and visualizing what great fun you two will be having!

Are you a German Shepherd Person?


Last night at puppy class, a couple stayed behind and were asking questions about our German Shepherd Dogs.  Nick, one of the Puppy Class instructors, was accuratley answering their questions about the breed, while the two of us present with German Shepherd Dogs let Nick do the talking.   The husband a bit confused by this asked Nick, "Are you a German Shepherd person too?" 

Nick's reply was: 

"Everyone is a German Shepherd person, they just don't know it." 

I love that Nick!

New Mac Story


Hi!


This morning out at Parkland we were getting ready to

start our track when a van drove up, Lisa (Mac's Home

Companion  teacher) got out, and asked us what was up.

 She was out there to do tracks with her border

collies.  Mac, of course, went over to visit, stood up

on the back feet, and kissed her.  So, her only

question:  "Are you sure you have a GSD?"


Of course, that is exactly what he did yesterday when

he encountered the Trial Chair after he came out of

the ring.  And he did get a lot of comments for being beautiful.

Forgot to tell you the best detail from one show.

That time Mac forged more than usual on heeling, sat

out ahead of me, and, on the recall, came charging in,

barked, flew around me for the finish, etc.  At the

end Nancy Withers just looked at me, total deadpan,

and said, "Next time you need to get a dog with more

drive."

NEW TITLE!

CONGRATULATIONS!

Ann and Mack did it!  A new AKC CD.  Ann was very sneaky about this and didn't say a word until the title was in the bag.  I can't wait to read her stories as I am sure the trip to getting Mack's CD was....a colorful!

I am so proud of you Ann and of course you too Mack!
