Today is Patriot’s Day, a holiday in Massachusetts, and although it was windy the temperature was about 58 degrees and sunny so we took the boys for some tracking.  Is it really snowing in Michigan?

I don’t know where the year went but this is the last time Ivan went tracking!

Todays tracking

We set up two short tracks for Ivan and during the second one he seemed to “get it”.  Hopefully it won’t be a year until we do this again! We put out a longer track for Dylan who has not had a lot of training either but did well.

The reward for working is play time!!!

Getting ready to chase the ball

And he’s off…

Holy cow, Lynda! At first I thought, “hey, Lynda got a new puppy!” It is so much fun seeing a picture of baby Ivan. Can this dog possibly get any more handsome? Yep—he’s still a pup!

I wish we could get another puppy…..but it’s not time yet!!! So much to do with Ivan and Dylan first and two BIG dogs are plenty. When Ivan is 5 or 6 years old maybe….???!!

What better way is there to spend a day off work? It looked like you had a wonderful day.

Yes, we really did have snow this morning. I had to clear about 2″ of the windows of the car this morning with my arm. My snow scraper broke a month or so ago and I didn’t bother replacing it. I didn’t think I’d need it again this year. Go figure!

You had me shouting Matt over to the computer to take a look at little Ivan’s transformation.

Carole and Julie keep saying Ivan will grow even more handsome as he matures. How can he possibly become more handsome? I was just saying to Julie, Karen and Al on Saturday what a “stud muffin” he is.

Ivan will defiantly be something else! Are you be doing schutzhund with him?

Hi Monica,
Right now we are working on obedience with Ivan. We would like to do AKC Open Obedience and try the BH also… and do tracking AND agility when he is old enough.
If Ivan gets his BH we may consider Schutzhund with him…??? So much to do, so little time!!

GREAT pictures!!! The one looks like the Royal Cainin dog/logo. I really enjoy looking at these then and now photos. You should go back to that same rock with Ivan and get another picture.

Ivan again in some fantastic pics. He poses like he is waiting to be discovered for the movies. Maybe Pickett’s new owner has an “in”. It is amazing how much they change in so little time.
