Hi Everyone,
This afternoon we arrived back home. The cats were thrilled to see the dogs…and us! Thank you to one and all for participating in our vacation road trip. We appreciate your interest and input. We truly feel like you are part of our family.
Lynda and Jack
Yep, we are family—you are stuck with all of us! It was a great vacation and we were glad to go along.
Are you now is Snow Shock?
Are the boys booking their tickets South?
Carole,
We are COLD!! We first felt it when we spent the night in Delaware and had to put on a sweatshirt. This morning it was 28 degrees. It went up a little but there was a cold wind. We want to book our tickets south!
The boys, however, don’t seem to notice and they like the colder weather…especially Dylan with his solid black coat.
Glad your home safe and sound. It’s kind of like when people who already have kids get married..well we are just part of the package! I am thankful for everyone in this Total Package!
I lit the “Sun and Sand” candle this evening in celebration of your safe return. Can you believe I was able to keep it that long without lighting it?
Thanks for lighting it in our honor!
What is the temperature now you are back home? At least the colder weather keeps the fair weather walkers home.
I took both Kora and Niro to Kensington Metro Park this afternoon. For those of you who are not familiar, it is a beautiful park with a paved 8 mile path through woods around a lake, just east of Brighton, MI. It can be a bit hectic in warmer, but I guess 26 degrees kept most people away today.
I don’t know who was the most tired when we got back to the car, me or them, but for the rest of the day I haven’t heard a squeak out of either Kora or Niro!
Andrea—26 degrees? Really? And here I was missing not being at Julie’s this time of year. With those temps, Garbo would need an ice pick to use her pool!
Your walk through the park sounds lovely.
Hi Andrea,
Wow, that’s a nice long walk with your dogs.
It was 28 degrees here this morning. The sun was out and the temperature went up a little later in the day. My mother and I took the 4 dogs for a nice walk in the woods and only saw one other person because of the cold temps also!
Lynda, glad you are back safe. Thanks for taking us along on your vacation, it was lovely. I was rushing home from work to see the new installments every night. I’m glad to see that you have cats that miss the dogs when they go with you. People think I’m nuts when I tell them our cat misses the dogs.
Hi Lisa,
We have two cats and both of them like the dogs, but Owen is particularly fond of them. I think he thinks he is a dog!
I will be in touch via e-mail once I get caught up on things here.
Thank you for bringing us along! I can’t think of a vacation I enjoyed more and at the same time being so thrifty.
