This weekend we had Ivan and Dylan entered in the Bahamas Kennel Club International Dog Show and Obedience Trials in Nassau. The weather was warm and thankfully breezy, and the show grounds were great. The conformation and obedience judges were AKC judges from the US.
Ivan earned his Bahamian Championship, a Bahamian Companion Dog title and a Bahamian Rally Novice title. Ivan also got High in Trial in Rally Obedience on Saturday.

All the loot minus the many toys won
It’s very late, we’ve had a long, busy day. We promise to torment you with many more pictures tomorrow
Very Very nice!!! Congrats to all of you!
If that is how you are going to torment us, bring it on baby! I am looking forward to more of the vacation-logue.
WOWSER! Congratulations on all your new titles, Best-of-Breed and Group wins. That is very impressive for Ivan to go 2nd to AKC UD dog in obedience. Do you run into many pro-handlers at the Bahamian shows like you see at AKC shows?
Woo-hooooo! Did I not say that Ivan would be a CH by the time we meet on Wednesday? Congratulations Ivan & Dylan! Outstanding job to all.
Best of Breed, Group Placings, Obedience and Rally wins/placings in one day is no easy task. AND then to do it with two dogs is fabulous! Lynda, you and Jack are a breeder’s dream!
Who were the judges?
That is a good point Carole, a lot of stuff to do in one day. In a foreign country in temperatures they are not use to.
Congrats to all of you!!! I think Ivan and Dylan deserve to relax with big rum punch!
Wow, what a weekend. I hope the boys are enjoying some nice steaks after all of their hard work(ok, I guess you and Jack deserve some credit also). Will Ivan’s new little toy take the place of his Mr. Bill (OH NO, I hope not). I think now you will have to pay more on your flight back w/all of the loot!! Again congratulations.
Amazing! Congratulations!!
CONGRATULATIONS!! That’s awesome! 🙂
Wow, wow, how wonderful…CONGRATULATIONS from Sydney and Monty!!!
Thanks for all the congrats everyone.
It was very different for the dogs going from 30 degree weather to hot weather but they handled it well. We kept them nice and cool and damp!
It was stressful having so many classes in one day, more so on us than the dogs but it was fun!
There were several Professional handlers.
The conformation judges were James Noe and James Frederiksen, I’m not sure where they were from.
The obedience judges were Jon and Carol Mett from Savannah, GA. They were super nice.
Nothing will take the place of Mr Bill!!!
Wow You must be so proud of both your dogs and I can’t believe how much you have done with Ivan at such a young age still! And how well behaved both your dogs are in your travels which we are enjoying very much especially the beach shots. Are there any other people and dogs on the beach? It looks so deserted!
Congratulations to all!!! You must be so proud of your boys and yourselves! When I started reading all the comments, in addition to the huge smile that came across my face at your successes, I started to think how stressful it must have been with two dogs and so many competitions. Then my thoughts went to how well the boys overcame any anxiety you may have had, running from one competition to the next in the heat. Way to go guys – what a trip!!!!
