You have another 4-feet-off the ground photo! I love Ivan carrying his bumper around, he looks very proud. All the photos are lovely, these were taken at low-tide?
Thanks Julie. Ivan found that bumper on the beach and carried it the whole walk and brought it home with him! He was very proud of himself as you noticed!
Brewster is famous for its flats at low tide. At high tide you can swim and sail etc. At low tide the sea goes out for over a mile. In the “off season” you can walk dogs and ride horses on the flats. Unfortunately animals are banned in the summer months.
This is a quote from a website “As you wade ankle deep in the Cape Cod Bay, you look up and notice you are a mile from shore. That’s the mystique of the Brewster Flats. It’s the only place in America where you can walk out over a mile during low tide to view marine life in its most uninhibited state. Whether a hermit crab piggy backing its offspring or an eel slithering to a grassy area, you are sure to be amazed at this rare place”.
Hi Josie,
Thanks for noticing Dylan….the non-GSD!!
Dylan is our 6 year old Labrador Retriever. He is from English lines so is stockier and has the big blocky head which I love! People often ask me is he is a mix with Rott, Mastiff or Pitbull beacuse of his head and muscular body!
They all love to go for a run on the beach.

The title of this should have been, “Looky, Looky—another feet-off-the-ground shot!” Excellent job, Lynda! Both boys look great.
Hi Carole,
Ivan is doing so well with his flying lessons and seems to have his feet off the ground a lot. However, he still hasn’t figured out how to “take off” and go after the seagulls yet !!

Hi Lynda,
Ivan is a natural-born flyer—and you are a natural at capturing it!
