We entered Ivan in the North American Sieger Show in Reston, VA with no great expectations (as it was only his 2nd show) but as a chance to take a short vacation and see Julie again. We left Cape Cod on Tuesday after work and headed south. On Wednesday we spent the day at the Shenandoah National Park seeing the beautiful scenery. We took Ivan for a walk on the Appalachian Trail.
On Thursday we got to the NASS site and met up with Julie, Carole and Monica. We did a little ring practice with 
Monica’s help!
On Friday Ivan was entered in the Senior Puppy class (9-12 month). We are very proud to report that Ivan placed VP3.
We had a great time at NASS. It was especially nice to be able to spend some time with Julie and Carole again and to meet other Alta-Tollhaus GSD owners face to face; we felt we knew them already through the blog. We love your blog Julie and are looking forward to seeing some quality pictures from NASS.
Ivan took a special shine to David and Al.

Congratulations!! Of course, we all know Ivan is a great dog, and you must be quick learners at showing. What a weekend for everyone!!
Congratulations to Ivan, John and Lynda! It was so great to meet you both this weekend and to meet DeNiro’s half brother in the flesh. I have loved your photos of Ivan from the minute I saw them but in the flesh he is even more handsome.
It would be nice to think that we could get together again sometime, but until then, Julie’s Blog will do the trick!

Oh my gosh did Ivan look good! He was the most masculine dog in his class and his movement was fantastic,. Big kudos to Lynda and Jack for their double handling which they did all on their own. Hard to believe this was only yours and Ivan’s second show ever. Ivan was also prominent in his sire’s progeny group. Ricco, his sire was Vice-Sieger.
Thank you for driving all the way down and showing your big-handsome boy. I was very proud of all of you!
You guys were great, and I am so happy to be able to say we have met in person now, like I said before just more GSD family!
