This past Sunday (sorry for the late post) Traumhof German Shepherd Dogs held a conformation show and obedience challenge for Traumhof bred dogs. Ivan was invited because he is the grandson of Sherry vom Kirschental, Allie’s sire, who lives at Traumhof with Julie’s friend Karen Priest. Ivan placed 1st in the obedience class for puppies under 1 year old.
There were about 20 GSD’s of various ages

What great fun! Allie is very proud of Ivan. I heard from a little birdie that Ivan has a very nice long upper-arm (something is harder to tell in a picture—but is a very good thing to have) big masculine head, excellent color. What I see is fantastic feet, strong pasterns, beautiful long curvy croup. He doesn’t have the rear angulation that you see so much of in the high-lines. The SV breed warden has been saying for years that we have too much rear angulation. His rear is more like what you see in the herding lines.
Congratulations Lynda and Jack! Thank you for sharing the pictures.
Congrats to you all! Ivan is a handsome, solid dog – I find it hard to believe he still a pup!
What I noticed first was Ivan’s great feet, pasterns and croup! And of course, all of his other great features that we continue to rave about. Looks like it was a fun event. Way to go Lynda, Jack and Ivan!
Ivan just gets better and better. Congratulations!
Great job, Lynda and Ivan, as always! What dedication the two of you have–especially at his young age!
