On Friday evening Ivan was in his second Rally Trial. The trial was held by the Wachusett Kennel Club in Fitchburg, MA. Ivan qualified with a score of 94 for his second Rally Novice B Leg. I will attach a link to the video. If you view it, we lost 3 points when I repositioned my feet in the first part of the 1, 2, 3 Steps Forward exercise. We then lost 3 points at the About Turn Right. I think Ivan got confused because the exercise was too close to a large post in the ring. I was very pleased with his attention. He finished 8th out of 22 dogs at two days shy of his 8 month birthday!

Before the trial a very unstressed Ivan takes a power nap with Jack
Lynda – Ivan looks great! I like the napping photo…how cute!!
Ivan always looks good, even wearing mud.
Congratulations on that leg! Rally is not easy for dogs who cover the distance between signs in two steps.
Thanks Ann. You are right about it beging harder for the larger dogs. The space was so cramped and the signs were close together. I really had to make sure to go wide around the cones so Ivan did not knock them over. He’s so long and, still being a youngster, doesn’t always know where his rear feet are!!
Congratulations! That is very good focused attention for an 8 month old, especially with all the noise and activity going on around him. You both look great in the video!
Thank you Margot. Fitchburg is a noisy venue for sure. I was pleased at how well Ivan handled it all.
Lynda and Ivan ROCK!!!!
Excellent!! Ivan, you look very sweet and loving!
Congratulations!!!! Fantastic work Lynda, Ivan, and Jack (video taper, nap buddy, and spousal support)!
Congratulations!!! JH 🙂
