That looks really good about now–somehow 80 degrees at 8 a.m. is not a good sign.
I must have the only two who walk around puddles. They looked at Ivan’s games and wanted to know why he was standing in the drinking dish.
Is that a regular size kiddie pool? Or is it one of the smaller ones? I ask because in that first picture he is about as big as the pool. Ivan is his mother’s son, that is for sure. I am so envious of your perfectly manicured yard!

Not to mention those beautiful (and intact) flowers and shrubs! How do you do it? Mac the Hun flattens everything before him, even if the big ball is out of play during the growing season.

Hi Julie,
The pool is a regular kiddie pool. Dylan outgrew our smaller one so we got this one which is 5 feet across. Good job we had this one as Ivan would never fit in the smaller one. We stopped by the vets and weighed Ivan about three weeks ago and he was 78 lbs…and not fat at all.
At 6.5 months he weighs more then his mother. But this is typical for these lines they seem like they are going to giant but slow down in their growth and end up at the correct size. Still it is startling to see such a large Ivan at such a young age. 🙂
Julie and Ann,
Our lawn looked great on these pictures but now has two large spots where it has died. We can’t figure out why…very distressing! The garden stays in pretty good shape as the dogs are mainly in the house and are only outside when we are home with them. Playing ball is a little tricky in the early spring when the grass is damp and they dig it up running and chasing but other than that it holds up to the wear and tear well. Thanks for your nice comments.
I think if I were to have an area so beautiful it would have to be off limit to dogs. We also do not use any chemicals on our property: no fertilizer, no weed killer, no insecticide, etc.

One of my Shelties walks around puddles. I thought he was the only dog that did that!!!

Bear wants to come over and play also. He loves water and the pools (also the water dish).
