“I awoke this morning with devout thanksgiving for my friends, the old and the new.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson
I awoke this morning to discover that there are 6 ears out of 8! For those not familiar with my vernacular, when I say they “have ears” that means the ears are erect. Halley and Honey each have one ear as of this morning, and they look so cute. Overnight, Halley also developed some attitude and was tugging away on my pant legs. I looked down at her and she rolled those big sweet eyes up at me and said “what are you looking at?” Yep, the days of going to the puppy room in pajamas are long gone.
I awoke this morning to see that both Funny and Allie have both sprouted “baby bumps.” A beautiful sight and one of joyous anticipation.
I awoke this morning thinking of the people in my life. Our path together may not always be smooth, nonetheless, I love and cherish you. My gratitude to you for being a part of my life.
“The hardest arithmetic to master is that which enables us to count our blessings.” – Eric Hoffer
All of this—a very good gift.
Happy Thanksgiving, Julie.
Now we need new puppy pix to go with the new ears!
Happy Thanksgiving!! 🙂
You too Jenny!
Happy Thanksgiving to all and I would like to say a very special thank you to Julie and Carole. I can’t tell you both how much we love Felix ( Grunewald – Funny’s G litter). He is really something special! He is so sweet and handsome. After we lost A.J. Chuck was really a mess and very skeptical that we would be able to find another GSD that would fill those big paws. He just keeps complimenting me on my research now and that I found Alta-Tollhaus and a Funny litter! I must thank Lies for a comment she made on the GSD board which directed me to Julie’s website. Felix is such a super guy and a real goof! Poor Happy – Felix is now bigger and taller and Hap is now his personal chew toy! Of course Happy is pleased to have a buddy again and they are now thick as thieves. Have a Happy Thanksgiving!!
Ann thank you so much for those kind words. A husband that compliments you on your research ability, heck on anything? Chuck sounds like a keeper! Maybe he can give husbandry lessons to Mos? Although, I did mess up his satellite TV today and he won’t have it back until the technician arrives tomorrow afternoon …he only yelled at me for about 30 seconds. Better then normal.
I am very happy that Chuck is pleased. I do remember how cynical he was about the whole process.
I am grateful to Carol for driving all the way up from Florida to handle settling the puppies into their new homes while I was in Germany. My gratitude to you Lies for your part in sending Ann and Chuck this way.
Congratulations on the ears! I still remember Mac’s ears at seven weeks, and they never once went down–still haven’t.
Hello Ann & Chuck!
I am happy to hear that you are so pleased with Felix and that he and Happy are getting along so well. Between you and me, I think Felix won Chuck over before you were out the driveway! 😉
Garbo sends her brother hugs and was wondering about some pictures of him!
