The road toward Amsterdam
The hotel I stayed at in Lisse. My guess is it is the most expensive hotel per square inch in the Netherlands, not becasue it is nice, but rather becasue it was very expensive and the room was smaller then my bathroom at home.

Scenes from inside the Keukenhof, not too much was blooming as the winter had been colder then usual.

Did you fly to Germany through Amsterdam from Detroit? You and I must have just missed each other if so. I flew out to Newcastle, England via Amsterdam on Thursday evening (3.26.09). It would be even more of a coincidence if we were on the same plane! I returned on Sunday so I was a day earlier than you on the way back.
Beautiful photos Julie—the highlight of my day.
Julie, absolutely stunning photos! You really capture the flavor of an area – what an eye you have! I would LOVE to have one of those signs :~) Thanks, as always, for sharing!
I love those photos. Just gorgeous. And is that a sign of a dog leaving, ahem, a pile? Hysterical!
