Yesterday afternoon, my dog walker (who is fantastic) called me and said “Um, Jaime, everything is fine, I just wanted to let you know that Pieka kind of jumped through the screen door into the backyard. With her leash on.”
It seems that poor Kelly wasn’t moving quite fast enough for our little princess. So she executed a very graceful leap right through the screen.
She is fine. The door is fine – the screen popped right out of the door and was fairly easily replaced. Our “sit politely at the door before you go out” may be forever destroyed, though.
Between the chocolate cake last weekend and this latest stunt, Sneaky Peeky is keeping us on our toes. Julie, I thought you said she was the SWEET puppy from the litter? ! I think I’ve been hoodwinked! 😉
Oh wow! lol!
After Nikon chewed through the vacuum cord, a pair of headphones, and an mp3 player in one day last week, this morning I was late for work b/c I was scrubbing black mud off white carpet, vacuuming some papers that had been shredded (luckily he took my “decoy” papers, ha!), and bits of candle wax from a candle the cat knocked off a ledge and (presumably) Nikon chewed to bits.
Jaime, you probably do have the SWEET puppy!
Welcome to the world of living with VERY SMART dogs! 😉
Ha! She is indeed smart.
We’ve been very lucky. Aside from the chocolate cake, she really hasn’t chewed anything at all. Not from lack of effort or interest, but we watch her like a hawk and she’s pretty much figured out what is acceptable and what is not. She still has designs on the chair legs, I am sure, but so far so good.
Classes start up again next week. We can’t wait!
Jamie! Do not even THINK “chair legs” while in Pieka’s presence! These Alta-Tollhaus dogs can read your mind.
Well you were suppose to take the other puppy…but it was all over when Peika jumped in your lap and wouldn’t leave. She was one of the sweetest in the litter but I guess that is all relative. 🙂
