Some more pictures from Kira’s rendezvous with Markus vom Status Quo in Detmold, Deutschland. This is Bernd Nagel’s home, he is the owner and breeder of Markus.  His house is one of the newer buildings on his property —built roughly 100 years ago.

A typical German breakfast. The small tomatoes were unbelievable. They were from Italy and I ate almost all of them.   Also on the table but hard to see was homemade currant jam that was so good I wanted to smuggle it out in my purse.  Of course the coffee, cheese, meats, and breads were fabulous. Nothing beats a German breakfast! The tall long-legged beauty in the left hand corner of the picture is Isabelle, Bernd’s youngest daughter:

Ahhhh the delightful German bread. Why can’t we duplicate this in the USA?

Awesome! Share more! That’s my kind of kitchen, looks light and airy.

My old house was over 100 years old, but in a bad way!

Julie, you made me so hungry. I had to go eat some watermelon. Would rather have had some of those tomatoes.

I’m looking forward to that breakfast!
