This is write up is from Judge Connie Austin and photos courtesy of Judge Ule James:
I think the dogs had difficulty adjusting to the warmer temps with their winter coats on. We also had two great passes in the TD and some very good attempts. The first passing dog was Alta-Tollhaus Guardian of the Galaxy (she has a big job saving the galaxy.. but took the time out to go tracking), GSD, owned by Debbie McHenry in Kansas City, who had trouble at the first corner but headed left correctly and then a right, left, and right to the last leg..where we ended up having to go above a rock filled ditch. We were worried the dog would go down to the rocks and miss the article but she happily tracked perfectly to her article. She seemed the type of dog to have a sense of humor, and she was young, so we think, in fact, she was torturing her owner on the first corner, then had her laugh and got to work.
