At the end of January Julie K. told me that she was going to enter Mika in the GSDCA Universal Sieger Show in Wilmington, Ohio. The Alta-Tollhaus “O” litter had just been born and I jokingly said that if Jack and I got one of the males in the litter we would enter him in the show just for fun!! Julie R., Julie K. and I started posting about the show and more and more people decided to enter their pups/dogs. There were 10 Alta-Tollhaus dogs/progeny entered. Alta-Tollhaus team members (some showing their dogs/pups and some coming to support and help) came from as far away as the Pacific Coast, the Atlantic Coast and even the Caribbean!
Jack, Aiden, Connor and I left Cape Cod on Thursday afternoon.
One of our many “pee” breaks!
We stopped in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania for the night.
On Friday we drove to Wilmington, Ohio and checked in to the hotel. It was great to see the sign welcoming the GSDCA and the dogs to the hotel.
We met Julie K., her mother and Mika “in person”. Aiden and Mika hit it off right away and became good friends.
My sister Donna and her husband, John, arrived later that evening and it was super to see them.
On Saturday we watched the National IPO3 Championship and met Jody and Fred.
Later that afternoon (and on Sunday) more AT family and friends arrived, Andrea and Matt, Jackie and Tom, Christi, Joanne and Paula, Susan, Cheryl, and Jennifer and many others. It’s always great to see and meet members of the AT family.
The owners of O’Wilson and O’Zeke, two of O’Connor’s brothers, could not make it to the show so Julie agreed to bring the pups with her to show. It was fun to see them again.
We watched as Julie took Alta-Tollhaus Juno in for the breed survey. Juno was great and was awarded her KKL LBZ (Lifetime Breed Survey).
When the breed survey was over we did some ring practice with all the AT dogs/pups and then checked in for the show. Later Julie and Carl hosted a BBQ at their RV.
Sunday was the Universal Sieger Show and the AT Team did very well. With so many “family” members there we all got to cheer each other on in the show ring.
First up was the Baby Puppy Class (3-6 months) – Males. The three “O” (Aiden x Yoyo) brothers were only 15 weeks old in a class with pups close to 6 months old. All the “O” pups earned their VP (Very Promising) rating.
Aiden was entered in the Veterans Dog Class – Male class. He just turned 6 years old in April and the GSDCA considers any dog over 6 yrs a Veteran. Aiden placed 1st Veterans male.

We took the opportunity to get a picture of Alta-Tollahus Aiden and three of his “O” litter sons.
Jack and I, and the boys, started our drive home on Monday morning. We stopped at the Kooser State Park in Somerset, PA to take Aiden and Connor for a walk to stretch their legs, and ours too, after a long car ride.
We spent the night near Allenstown, PA and drove the rest of the way home on Tuesday.
Dylan was so happy to see us.
Most of these pictures were taken on my cell phone. Andrea, Julie K. and my brother-in-law took pictures with their “proper” cameras and I’m sure more pictures will be posted as people settle back in at home and have time to sort the pictures out.
What a great post!! I love how you organized all the photos here. It was wonderful meeting you finally, maybe you should bring Aiden and Connor to the Canadian Sieger near Vancouver and we’ll do it again 🙂
Thank you for the wonderful post! I had seen many of the photos before, but your text really helped pull everything together for me… I almost felt like I was along for the trip!
Hi Laura,
Thank you. I’m glad you liked it.
