Introducing Alta-Tollhaus Michigan “Mika” – pronounced Mee-ka. She is one of ten pups from the M litter born mid June. I have been talking to Julie about getting a female for awhile now but didn’t think it would happen so soon- well circumstances aligned and here she is! Better yet, another AT puppy is also residing in Washington state and those puppy parents were kind enough to transport Mika home 🙂
Mika has been with us for a week now and is such a wonderful puppy!!! She loves her crate and is super fun to train. We have a puppy tug/flirt pole for her that we take out a couple times a day. I also give her a treat every time she looks up at me (she is picking up on that really quick) She loves working for treats and dinner. I have been luring her into sits, downs, heeling, etc, basically everything I want her to do as an adult in modified puppy version. We do this for a few minutes several times a day and she just loves it! As you can imagine, I’ve been taking a ton of pictures of her. Below are some of my favorites, and look her ears were up by the end of the week (though I’m sure they’ll go down and up again)! This is Mika at 8 and 9 weeks old.
Mika shares her new home with a 7 year old shepherd named Lexi and with Steve, a almost 3 year old from Alta-Tollhaus who you can find on this blog 🙂
Great photos. You can never take enough when they are that age. I lost the SD card with most of Ziva’s baby pics 🙁
oh no!! I had a corrupt SD card and lost a ton of pictures from earlier in the year, not the same thing, but oh so frustrating.
