Even Dutch was exhausted! After we drove them back home, we decided to enjoy a night on the road at a nice dog-friendly hotel. This La Quinta in Milford, MA was perfect.

Dutch quietly slept by the door, which was triple-locked for the protection of all the “bad guys” who might be lurking outside!

If you look Dutch’s face in the pictures, you can see that in three of them he is constantly watching my grandson Scott. Scott, 13, has tons of energy, and plays with Dutch much more than Alaina (retrieving the balls and frisbee, running around playing “pushball,” etc. You can see them curled up together in the car. And, at night, you can see Dutch curled up in bed with Scott. The “traitor” has minimal interest in us when the kids are here!
