Today (Saturday) started sunny and warm but thankfully not as humid as yesterday. A beautiful day for an agility trial. Aiden’s 1st class of the day was Open FAST. There were three jumps in the bonus. Aiden took the first two jumps going away from me then had to do a 180 degree turn for the third jump. Unfortunately he knocked the bar so he did not qualify.
A short time after Aiden’s run the sky got very dark and the wind started to pick up. It got so windy that jumps in the rings blew over and several tents got knocked about. Luckily it only lasted for a few minutes and then the sun came back out.
Aiden’s 2nd class was Agility Excellent Standard. This was his first time in Excellent after having titled in Open yesterday. We are having some “start line” issues with him as you can see in the video. Overall he had a great run but unfortunately knocked the second to last jump.
Aiden was then in Open Jumpers with Weaves….he knocked two jumps down. In Time 2 Beat he also knocked a jump. No Q’s today!
Action photo taken yesterday by friend.
We took advantage of the nice weather and beautiful grounds and took Aiden for several nice walks.
Aiden, who is turning in to quite the ladies man, poses with Ella and Yasha.
Aiden has good taste. 2 nice German girls. Who was that chastising him for his start line in the video-too funny. Too bad he knocked the poles.
Even so, what a performance! His enthusiasm and love for this sport is just too much to be contained at times! Even my “basic” training work with Dutch, which Aiden could do in his sleep, can get so exciting to him that he quivers and makes these quiet little howl/whines until I release him to “GO!” Aides is so beautiful inside and out. Thank you so much for sharing these thrilling moments!
Wow! What a great run! He has such great enthusiasm!
Qs or no, those were super runs!
It is always a pleasure to watch Aiden run.
