Thankyou Lynda for your photos of Aiden and Dylan with their “hunting” attire. I never even thought about having safety wear on the dogs also during hunting season. I tried this on Ziva at the store and got 2, since I thought she and Libby are the same size, but Libby needs more space in the chest, so I am modifying hers, never fear, she is protected also.
ZIVA MUST THINK THIS IS A GREYHOUND RACING VEST!!
Good job, Lisa! Who knew how well German Shepherd Dogs blended into the scenery in NY?
Guess we should all consider some sort of safety coats for our pups. Especially those that live in areas with hunters. Jennifer……..one orange vest for the Sharknado please. 🙂
QWendi only runs free on my land..and there better not be anyone shooting over here. Still, I live by a State Park and there are hiking trails that I like …and deer…and hunters. Not a bad idea to put a safety vest on my cherished Sharknado. 🙂

You are so right! The life preserver vest I bought for Dutch looks almost identical. God-damn drunk boaters could run him down as he’s swimming out to retrieve the chuck-it. Dutch’s vest is also bright orange. Whether the danger is hunters, or drunken boaters, we are prepared!
I apologize for the language in my post. I’ve had it with drunken boaters and jet-skiers who nearly run him down.
No problem Beverly! I can appreciate a passionate response. 🙂
Beverly, next it will be drunken snow mobilers! 🙁
Ziva looks super running in her new vest.
Although the dogs are never very far away from us I feel better when they are wearing orange in the hunting season. I also put a bell on Aiden’s collar so he can be heard as he runs. We don’t go walking in the woods during shotgun season at all…. but I don’t want them to be shot with an arrow either in bow season!
I need these!!!!
Yep. You’re in the wilderness too.
