I started competing with Ember in agility in September and we went to our third show today. I started her out slow without any contacts at first and have been working her towards harder classes. Her first show was Jumpers and Full house. I was happy that she stayed with me, let alone q’d in Jumpers. Her second show she went 3/3 in Jumpers, Wildcard, and Colors. She earned her first title and many compliments.
Today, she went 3/3 in Full house, Standard, and Wildcard, and earned her second title. She had trouble on the dog walk because she is struggling going on straight. She got her front legs on and ended up side ways to the dog walk. I figured she’d bail and we’d be nq’d, but instead she figured it out herself and brought her hind leg way up and climbed up to save it and q. We still need to work on contacts, but I was very proud of her that she thought it through and fixed the incorrect approach to the dog walk and had awesome 2 paws on, 2 paws off. Our next show is next Saturday. She’s certainly enjoying herself by following in her mama’s footsteps.

I also showed Gibbs, who finished his Level 2 Fun title and q’d 2/3 in the past 2 shows. My mom will not hear the end of it that Ember has had more q’s than Gibbs.
He was a little tired after his runs.

Agility….other than the basic title….messes up my brain. Jumpers w weaves/ wo weaves…scramblers…jumpers…wildcard…BINGO! It’s all too confusing for me.
I’m happy that you and Ember are successful. And, are you trialing with you Mom? That is just awesome! 🙂
T & Q
I agree, I can’t sort that all out either.
Great job with Ziva’s twin! Looks like Gibbs has earned a well deserved rest as well.
