I was challenged to make a reindeer snood for a dog, and guess who I chose to be my model? Ember has been very patient with me while I try on the snood over and over and then take pictures of her, humiliating her terribly. She’s a good sport, especially since there is chicken involved. I found some pictures of the reindeer on the Internet and made my own pattern from several different patterns. I’m still trying to get the antlers to stand up, though.
My next project was a horse, since I had made an amigurumi horse. Here is that result. I think I like it better.
I know, dog shaming at its best. 🙂
Oh my gosh — these are hilarious! I like them both, but I love the horse one. It fits perfectly and is just too cute! Ember is a very patient, beautiful model — even if chicken was involved.
The horse one is my favorite…except if it were Christmas then the antlers would be my favorite. 🙂
The horse is super! Good girl Ember for helping your mom.
Those are hysterical! Ember is a very, very good girl! I’m not sure Pieka would be so patient.
I still say you better sleep with one eye open LOL
LOL! Or else, Jennifer may wake up with something in her bed? heehee
Jennifer,
They really are cute….and you did a good job getting the patterns right……….but………
I don’t think snoods are for GSDs. 🙂 phew! LOL
Not sure….I think they are both pretty cute for…say…Springer Spaniels. I’m choosing the reindeer. I love the full on face picture with Ember sitting.
And the last picture of her wearing the horse…..she reminds me of the Beatles. LOL 🙂
Good girl, Ember.
Snoods are originally for Greyounds. Close enough. I think Ember looks adorable. She loves playing dress up because she loves the attention. She just stands there and waits for me to put them on. I already have sold the reindeer one. 🙂
I hope Wendi likes her Christmas present 🙂
Ember looks so cute and not embarrassed at all. I think the horse one is perfect. I always think Kai is like a little horse or pony anyway, careening around, proud trotting and what not. A-dor-a-ble.
Thank you! I am going to go to some antique stores and look for a rocking horse with a small saddle to fit Ember. Guess what her Halloween costume is going to be? I can even make a halter for her…
