After three days of obedience trials Aiden had a well deserved day off! His day started off with a long walk on the beach…. well my mother, her dog Danny, Dylan and I walked…but Aiden ran and swam doing his favorite thing of chasing the birds! Then he had a relaxing day at home, supervising us mowing the lawn and watching the Patriot’s game! We were all pleased that the New England Patriot’s beat the Minnesota Vikings…sorry Julie!

Time to go…
That’s the way to do it! Work hard, play hard! Beautiful pictures Lynda!
Lucky dogs they are able to go back on the beach today. Glad to see that Aiden’s hard work did not tire him out too much. Did poor Daisy have to stay home and keep your Mom company?
Hi Lisa,
How thoughtful of you to notice that Daisy was missing. My mother came with me and brought Danny but Daisy has aged a lot recently and does not like to go for such long walks now. Daisy does not see too well and prefers for my mother to take her on shorter walks around the neighborhood.

Yes, my Abby got like that and I ended up getting her a little red wagon so she could go with Maggie and me. I would pull her along on the canal path in her wagon and she looked like the queen. I never thought I would get her to stay in it, but I think she realized that she could go along in the wagon.
I am glad Aiden got some time off after all his hard work! Looks like a lovely day!
Hi Lynda, I’m your neighbor, I live in Cotuit. I’m waiting for a puppy from Julie. Nancy Bishop gave me Alta Tollhaus’ name because she could see what a nice dog Aiden is. I had a German shepherd that was visiting Nancy regularly for rehab for her degenerative myelopathy. She passed away last spring. I miss her terribly, she was such a good girl. I excited to have another dog. It’s just not right without a dog in the house.
I’m so impressed with all of your work with Aiden. He does such a fine job. You must be spending a lot of time with him. I had initially told Julie that I wanted a therapy/companion temperament, but watching you and Aiden has made me rethink and want a dog with some drive. The agility and rally look like a lot of fun. It is great to see Aiden’s “happy, happy” self. I love watching his tail.
Thanks for sharing all your work and play on the blog. I really enjoy it.
Karen
Congratulations on your first venture on the LDT blog Karen!
Thank you, Julie. I should say how much I enjoy everyone’s entries onto the blog. You’re growing picture are especially fun!
Hi Karen,
Welcome to the AT family. Nice to “meet” you on the blog.
Nancy was at the Cape Cod Kennel Club Trial with us this weekend and she mentioned that you are now ready to get a puppy and that you were getting one from Julie.
Thanks you for your kind comments about Aiden. Our dogs are everything to us and we even plan our vacations around different dog events.
Looking forward to seeing lots of pictures of your new pup.
Lynda
Great pictures — beautiful subjects — as always!
Gorgeous photos I am going to get to see you and Aiden when you compete for your IPO 2! Do you know yet which day he will go?
Hi,
We don’t know yet which day the IPO-2 dogs will be on. I would think Saturday but it could be Sunday… There are a lot of dogs entered in the trial. If you give me your e-mail address I will let you know as soon as I find out.
It will be nice to see you.
Lynda
Thanks Lynda I don’t have your email so had to post here to give you may email addy. I can’t wait to see Aiden run. Yes it’s a Full trial. T.Floyd has Pike the brother to my Pyro entered for his BH as they are just old enough now though at this point we are no where near ready but T is very experienced trainer with employees to work the dogs so I’m sure Pike will do fine. Maybe next year for us though my boy at the moment (16 months) has his moments of glory and his oh what are we doing? LOL My email address is tawnyhillshepherds@snet.net I had entered an agility trial that wknd before I knew about the IPO trial and was just going to pull from Sat so I could go to IPO trial Fri & Sat but with so many people I know and want to watch I may just pull from agility all wknd so I can come Sun too. Being a new sport to me there is so much to learn and trials are a great place to pick up things. You are so lucky to train with Mario I love his young dog watched him at the last Quinebaug trial and he was my favorite dog for the way he would switch off from protection to obedience that is where we are struggling right now 🙂 Send me the schedule once you know Thanks!!
