Today Aiden was entered in the Cape Cod Kennel Club All Breed Dog Show, Obedience and Rally Trial held at the Barnstable County Fairgrounds in Falmouth, MA.
First up this morning was Rally Excellent B. This was Aiden’s first time competing in Rally Excellent. Aiden did an “excellent” job and as usual was his “happy, happy” self.
There were eight dogs in the class and Aiden qualified with a score of 98 (out of 100) and 3rd place.
Aiden was also entered in Novice B Obedience and this was also his first time competing in this class. Out of 14 dogs Aiden qualified with a score of 197.5 (out of 200) and 2nd place.
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful!!!!
What did he loose points on in Novice B? The step on the stand for exam and anything else?
Rally where did he loose points? Sniffing the sign?
Congratulations! Thank you also for being in the obedience ring with a GSD and representing the breed so well!!!
In Novice B he lost 1 point on the Heel on Leash, 1 point on the Heel Free and 1/2 a point on the Recall.
I have no idea where he lost 2 points in Rally….He was READING the signs!
I think he lost the points in rally for touching the sign. According to one of the club instructors, who is a rally judge, that is a no no. She enjoyed his little happy dance after the 2nd jump too 🙂
