We’re returning from our weekend with the kids at the Connecticut shore, and Dutchie has to take up the entire front of our RV when he could easily go stretch out in the back. Go figure. I think my feet are falling asleep.Yep. That’s why we sold the Acura, and now have a Suburban and a Tahoe. “If the dog don’t fit, you can’t commit.” Yes, we brought him with us when we were car shopping, too.
I absolutely agree with your motto about buying cars. We took the dog crate with us and put it in the new CRV to make sure it fit. When we picked up my new CRV, we had Ember with us to sign the papers because we were going to a nosework class right afterward. We transferred her and the crate into the new car and were on our way. It even fits Cabrera and his crate folded up, chairs, a pop-up, and all our supplies for a dog show, too! Glad Dutch has a comfortable seat for the ride home. 🙂
Jennifer, Ember, and Cabrera
LOL – so true! Their paraphernalia take up even more space than they do! It’s like you have a baby: such a tiny little infant, but with the high chair, play pen/crib, diaper bag, etc., the car is bursting at the welds! Now, we end up driving the 24′ RV everywhere – at 20 mpg, it actually gets better mileage than both the Suburban and the Tahoe!
Beverly,
That is so funny……..I was thinking the same thing as I packed Wendi and I up to go visit my brother and family over Labor Day…..
My exact thoughts……a baby is easier…bc…Grandma’s and Aunts, usually have all the baby stuff at their houses.
I packed her little crate, a bigger crate to use as her play pen/time out area…jug of water…cooler of her raw food, her toys, the dog fan, food dishes, water bucket, dog towels,…..etc…… and LOL
He wants to be where the action is!
So true – that’s why we sometimes even have to lock him in his crate at night! “No, Dutch, you can’t ‘play’ with us!!!”
Thank God that W-Dutch is not spoiled!
HaaHaaHaa. I think he loves his Momma
Yes, and he shows his “love” by climbing up onto my seat (yes, only mine – never Scott’s) and sits there or lies there curled up like a cobra until I return! That’s why you see my seat has a pet cover on it.
