Karen Murray’s grand-daughter has asked grandma for a GSD cake two years in a row now. Instead of making the same cake every year Karen has to come up with something different. So this year she used the blog for inspiration and created a Rice Krispie cake…very clever don’t you think?

I stuffed a bowl with rice krispies to make a substantial base, then free formed the rest on top of that. Then frosted it with plaster of paris…..Ahhhh…I mean “Royal Frosting” from the “Wilton” line, (to make it smoother) and painted on the frosting I tinted with paint brushes!
Great cake Karen!. Viktor says it bares a striking resemblance to his handsomeness and that he is honored to be the model for this occasion! He has waived all his rights to his picture and is glad others have gotten enjoyment out of one of his prior posts. He also has indicated that now you have made one there should be more to follow and just by luck his birthday is only about five weeks away! hint hint wink wink

I’m in the hospital since Wednesday with pyelonephritis (severe kidney infection). They almost put me in ICU! Wouldn’t wish this on an enemy! 104.5 Anyway……
That cake takes about 16 hours to make and if you want it, I’ll try to remember what I did and make a recipe up for you! 😉
I do have an easier recipe to make and if you like, comes with templates and all! I can post the recipe for you if you’d like it. And yes Jamie….you can make foofies on the ears! 🙂
