Happy 1st Birthday to the beautiful Gavin x Hummel G-litter.
Greyhawk with his meatloaf cupcake:
Gia…and all I have to say about Gia is..if there is a stock coat in this upcoming Gavin x Hummel litter and she looks like Gia, I am keeping her!
Gage (pictured at <9 months) celebrated his birthday by getting OFA tests done: Cardiac, Patella, and ??? I forgot what the third test was.

Happy Birthday Gs! 🙂

Julie,
I’m confused (imagine that?)..You said Gia has a stock coat. I don’t see her as a long coat……..is she?
I agree, she is very pretty.
Terri
You are right she doesn’t look like the normal long coat this is her puppy picture:
Can you tell when they are puppies if they will be a shorter long coat like Gia or a big fluffy coat like Pieka? As I recall Sabree had a shorter coat and fluffy ears and legs, but did not have the thick coat Pieka or Fenris have.
I wish I could tell, I thought Pieka and her brother would be borderline long coats they both turned out to have a ton of long hair…the owners of the Pieka’s brother were not too happy with me about that. Looking at the puppy pictures of Gia she looked like she would have a lot of coat. So no I cannot tell how they will turn out.
Would you consider her a long coat as far as for showing? I look at the pics of her littermates and they all seem to have nice coats…..Gia just has a bit more…with fluffies by her ears.
🙂
Terri
The fluffies around the ears makes her a long coat, she is really kind of borderline though. Beautiful female. I want one just like her…only stock coat!
I have been asked if Ginger is a long coat. Her coat is much more plush than Blake’s. She doesn’t have the feathering of a long coat-it’s a beautiful coat, but boyhowdy can she shed!
Katy,
Look at the pictures of Ginger and Gia…Ginger has a nice coat…but, she doesn’t have the ear fluffies. What is her undercoat like?
Terri
So… curious and perhaps stupid question: Why not breed long haired dogs?
some people do just that.
To me, the long-coats also have a different shaped head and ears. Is it just me?
Happy Belated Birthday. Hope all the “G’s” had a good birthday.
Love all their pictures.
Hope the G 2’s had a happy birthday.
If by undercoat you mean those fluffy grey hairs that when you get one in your mouth you can’t get it out. They fly everywhere and laugh at the broom and defy the vacuum. They grow back as fast as you brush them out – yes Ginger has plenty of undercoat.
“laugh at the broom and defy the vaccum.”
I like that, Katy! 🙂
