I took Cabrera and Ember to the United White Shepherd Club conformation show this weekend in La Porte, IN and they both did very well. I only took Ember yesterday, because being an altered dog, there is not much competition and I find it hard to justify taking her. She does gain socialization and control during the shows, which has been helpful, though. She behaved very well and the judges both loved her and gave her some great compliments. Cabrera won Best of Breed over a Czech Champion male in two of the four shows and went on to win second in the herding group today in the second show. The dog that beat him was the White Shepherd that has won BIS or RBIS all weekend. The judge loved his head, but felt that his gaiting needed to improve. He is only 19 mo. old, after all, and still pretty awkward. I was pretty proud of both of them this weekend and look forward to showing them at my club’s show at the end of the month.
Good job Team Jennifer! 🙂
🙂 I’ve been thinking about a name for my “team”, and thought about team “Big Ears” because of the Papillons and GSD’s, but that’s not very elegant, is it? I guess Team Jennifer, it is.
Way to go Jennifer! I think you are having fun and it is only just starting!
I hope so! I can’t wait until the show at the end of the month!
Congratulations Jennifer, Ember and Cabrera!! Sounds like you had a super weekend.
Great to see the pictures of you and the dogs with their ribbons.
🙂
Geez, did you leave any ribbons for anyone else??? Congratulations on your great weekend.
It is a little silly with all those ribbons, isn’t it? Maybe next time I’ll donate the ribbons back. Maybe. 🙂
I always keep the rosettes but not the little strip ribbons.
Fabulous news, congratulations! Beautiful photographs!
Thank you!
Great job Jennifer. Both your dogs look great, (I think Cabrera looks very mature,,handsome goes without saying..
for his age.)
Thank you. He is fitting in very nicely with our family.
