Digger spent the weekend at Camp Kayla while Ron and I were in Orlando. When I met Carole to pick him up she worked with me and showed me some tips to help me control my 90lb boy who generally likes to pull me as if he was a sled dog. On the way home to Ft. Myers I decided to test the control techniques she showed me. So what else…I took him shopping, my favorite activity. We went to Ross. There were no signs posted that said no dogs so in we went. The security guard at the front door looked at me and as I waited for her to tell me I couldn’t bring him in she said “what a beautiful dog” Yippie! we got past security. We walked up and down the aisles and he stopped and sat while I looked at clothes then we moved on. He sat for a couple of kids so they could pet him. He did so good I decided to try Marshalls. This time I got a cart and he walked along side stopping and sitting when I stopped. We found the dog toys and treats but he didn’t find anything he liked so we moved on to baskets to see if we could find a bigger toy box but none of them met his approval so we headed out. So many people stopped me and made nice comments. I was so impressed with him. Ron was not with me but I texted him pictures of our adventure and he said I was nuts.
I love it that you took Digger shopping. Fun isn’t it? I did that this summer with one of my dogs I had with me in the car, it was too hot to leave her out there while I went into Lowes so I brought her in, no one said anything other the “beautiful dog” etc
She was a big help picking out items. 🙂
Great to see Digger again. I bet he had fun at Camp Kayla while you were away.
I think you are right, Digger would love to come up north and play in the snow. The dogs really seem to love it.
Of course he and you would be glad to go back to warm, sunny Florida after a short while I’m sure!
So good to see Digger … where does the time go? Sounds like you had a great time. Of course, you know that now he will want to go on all your shopping excursions, and I bet you will take him and have a blast!! You’ll have to keep us up to date:)
I’m sorry I missed Digger at Camp Kayla! Ron must be like Randy – Randy would not want me taking Kai in a store! I think I’ve suggested Lowes or Home Depot before but we haven’t done it. He’s not too jiggy with it. Mr. Kai has marked twice in Petsmart so this morning Michael was driving me to Starbucks and I said we’d take the truck and take Kai and Michael said, we’re not going to Petsmart are we? LOL….Like Kai’s the only dog who’s ever marked in there!
Hope Digger picked out something nice for his momma. Good to see him again.
