We just returned from a week in Las Vegas visiting my parents. My Mom, who is 92, broke her hip about 3 weeks ago. She had a grade 4 fracture and ended up having a total hip replacement. She is still in the hospital, but the good news is she has been moved to the rehab area. Her doctors are amazed at how well she is doing and my brother and Dad think our visit really perked her up. We hope things continue to go well and she can go home soon.
We left the girls with a house sitter, who broke her hand the day after we left. After a few phone calls, Z-Evil one went to my trainers for doggy bootcamp, while Libby hung out on the couch with the cat overseeing the healing of Amy’s broken hand.
We left the sun to come home to this 🙁
It is very overcast so the pics are dark.
The Girls enjoyed it much more than me.
Ziva asking Libby “can you hear me now?”
Then they found a mouse in the snow. Not to worry, Mr Mouse had plenty of time to get away since they both wanted to be the one who caught it.
We also spent 2 days visiting Glenn’s Uncle Bill whose hobby is wood working. Below are pics of some of his handy work.
Oh how nasty…to come home to all that snow…and that looks like a lot. Did the Z-evil one like boot camp? “Can you hear me now” picture made me laugh out loud, great caption.
I hope your mom has a speedy recovery. Welcome back!
Ziva enjoyed the little holiday. She has never been too keen about working for anyone other than us, so having some 1 on 1 with our trainer was good for her (and me).
Good to hear your Mom is getting better.
That’s a lot of snow! Quite a shock for you after being in Las Vegas but I bet Libby and Ziva love it.
Yes they did. Nice thing is how quickly the deep snow tires them out 🙂
What a week! Wishing your Mom and House Sitter a speedy recovery. I hope Z-Evil One wasn’t involved in the hand-breaking incident.
Great pix—love “can you hear me now?” All of that noise and dog breath made poor Libby curl her ear!
No, thank God Z-Evil one was was not part of the broken hand incident. I could not see Amy walking 2 dogs (ok 1 dog and 1 wild thing) w/only one hand, so I called in the reinforcements.
Sorry to hear about your mom. It’s hard confronting the reality of our aging parents. My sister and I have that with my dad in particular. I hope she heals quickly without complications. The cast of those snow pictures is depressing I must say. I love my sunshine and my bloods about as thin as it can get. Ha!
Love the hear me now. Poor Libby! What a big mouth on Z-Loud one.
