I am no professional photographer. I often look at the photos posted by Julie, Carole, Lies and others on this blog with envy. But I have a wee photo brag to share with you!
Some of you may be familiar with USCA National Breed Warden Karen MacIntyre. If you read her column in the USCA magazine, you may have seen her new profile picture in the top left of the page:
That’s my photo!
I train pretty regularly with Karen. Karen is a very kind and knowledgeable dog owner, breeder, and handler. In addition to being a schutzhund judge, Karen heads up a SAR team in our area along with another talented trainer, Debs Ash. This summer, the CAST team hosted an International Rescue Organisation (IRO) trial in New Hampshire. Karen asked me to serve as the unofficial photographer for the trial.
The photos I took are here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/100607064@N07/sets/72157635179538423/
They aren’t professional quality by any means, but everyone had a lot of fun. The photo Karen is using was taken after her obedience routine with her young dog Eiko. Given the awesome photographers on this blog, I thought you might get a kick out of this!
What a beautiful photo!!!! What an honor to have her select your photo to represent her in the UsCA magazine!
Just checked out your flickr photos they are absolutely perfect, they look very professional to me!
I love the picture of Eiko licking Karen in the face when he’s being handed over to her. There is a look of pure happiness to see her.
Great photo’s, they look professional to me. Congrats on having your photo chosen for publication!
Jaime, would you mind if I used one of your photos in the WDA magazine? I need a photo for the bottom of a page for a tracking article. I tried sending you an email but it was kicked back to me. The picture of Fiona with the deep nose would be perfect!
Yes, of course, Carole! I will email or message you on FB.
