After the Herding Instinct Test on Sunday we drove to New Jersey for the GSDCA National Centennial. We arrived at the hotel just before midnight.
On Monday we went to the Dream Park of Gloucester County were the event was being held.
All day Monday was an agility trial and we went to watch. Aiden was not entered in the trial but we entered him in the AKC Agility B Match at a jump height of 20 inches, below the 24 inch height he will jump when he starts to compete. The match was at the end of the day after the trial was over. It was an another opportunity for Aiden to experience the atmosphere at a large trial. The match was run on the Excellent Standard Course. Aiden did very well and completed the course in under the time allowed for each dog. As I had extra time Aiden was able to do the Dog Walk, a few jumps and the A-Frame for a second time.

Today we went back to the Dream Park where Aiden was entered in the GSDCA Temperament Test. There are eleven separate stages to the test. We got a picture of some of the stages.
Friendly Stranger Test
Approach to a hidden noise test
Gun Test
Umbrella Test
Poly Footing Test
Protective response to a threat test
Aiden passed and earned his GSDCA Temperament Certificate (TC). The evaluator commented about how steady and appropriate Aiden was. She also said she would love to see more dogs with his red coloring.
Afterwards we took the boys for a walk
The obligatory posed picture!
The Centennial continues until the weekend with obedience and rally and other events but unfortunately we have to head home tomorrow to get back to work. We have had a busy but fun 4 days.
Congratulations, again! Beautiful photos! I especially love the ‘obligatory posed’ shot.
