I am so happy that Aiden has reached an age where we can start proper agility training. The biggest challenge will be to keep Aiden on course and under control as he loves to make up his own course!! Last week at training Aiden went through the tunnel I directed him to, came out like he was shot out of a canon, decided to go back into the tunnel, came back out and then got the “zoomies” and ran in circles around the ring with a big grin on his face. This evening after work I took Aiden to my friend’s house to do a little training. Aiden’s photographer came with us.
I have slowly increased the jump height and now at “school” Aiden mainly jumps 16″ and sometimes 20″. This bar is set at 22″ and as you can see he clears it easily.
These are great photo’s!
LOVE it when a dog gets the ZOOMIES!!!
Just wait until the “Agility Bug” bites you! 😉
Have fun!
Oh Karen, I have already been “bitten by the agility bug”!! LOL.
I first started agility in the early 90’s with my Labrador Retriever, Orion, and have trained all my dogs in agility since then. I LOVE it!!
Lynda, no words…Aiden looks superb! And he sure looks like he’s enjoying every minute of his agility time.
I love the pictures! Can I borrow your photographer? 🙂 I was very disappointed with the photographers at Nationals. They either missed my class or the pictures were very dark. These are awesome! Aiden looks like he is having a lot of fun. That is something you can’t teach them. Enjoy the zoomies now, they hopefully won’t last. It is always funny for the person that doesn’t own the dog zooming around the ring. 🙂
Jennifer EXACTLY! Love the zoomies when it is someone else’
s dog doing it….I have a feeling that Ava will really test me on this.
At least she’ll have fun doing it, right? That’s what everyone says anyway. 😉
Thanks for taking Aiden’s photographer along too! He really captured the enjoyment Aiden was getting from his practice session.
I will never tire of seeing and hearing about your family’s adventures, even whilst on vacation!
Where are you Andrea? Are you in Deutschland? Maybe I will come and visit? Looks like Bailey is finally in season.
Yes Julie, Berlin at the moment. Off to Munich tomorrow. Enjoying every minute. It’s wonderful to actually have time to catch up on the blog too. Something that has been lacking for me lately. Time to catch up on the blog that is, not the blog itself!!
Terrific job, Lynda—as usual!!!
Aiden clearly shares your love for agility … He looks grrreat! Hahahaha, gotta love zoomies:)
