I have lived here over 12 years and this is the first time that I’ve seen a bear in person. I’ve seen tracks on the property. A bear has carried away my garbage can, but this is the first close encounter. I looked out the dining room window and there he was—just passing through. I had enough time to grab my camera and shoot a few pix. He didn’t seem to be too happy about being spotted.

Now that’s funny! I guess if he hangs around he’ll be named the A-T South Bear. Hopefully, he does not move in!

Yep, the bear was TOTALLY cool! I’ve been waiting for an opportunity to see a bear and to have a chance to take his pix was an added bonus.
