Today at the Eastern English Springer Spaniel Club Show and Trial in Warwick, RI Aiden earned his Rally Advanced Title. He qualified with a score of 96 and 3rd place. This was the first time Aiden competed outdoors, it was hot with lots of distractions. Aiden’s heeling was way off but we did it!
As it was a hot, sunny day Dylan stayed home while we went to the trial. Here Aiden is showing off the new toy he won for getting his Rally Title.
Dylan does not look impressed!
Aiden and Dylan on June 21, 2012, exactly one year ago today.
This past Wednesday we were able to get back to training.

Congratulations, Aiden and Lynda! One question…do you have a job? If so, do you find that your job gets in the way of you having fun with your dogs also? I could have so much more fun if my job didn’t get in the way. 🙂
Jack and I both have full time jobs and work 40+ hours a week and are called in for emergencies and extra duties at times.
House/yard maintenance takes a lot of our time also, especially at this time of year.
It would be great to win the lottery and not have to work but I don’t think that is likely to happen!
We go to IPO training once a week on our day off and try to do a little obedience at home. I take Aiden to an agility class one evening a week.
We plan all our vacation time around dog events and activities – which we love and we wouldn’t have it any other way.
Big “LIKE!”
🙂 I hope you know I was joking, and I think its great that you spend so much time with your dogs. That’s how it should be, right? I seem to not have enough time to show my dogs as much as I want to. I have a show almost every weekend in July, which I’m looking forward to. I work full-time, am working on my Master’s degree, just got a new puppy, practice agility once a week, try to find time to go to IPO training, and compete on the weekends. I’ve decided to take a break from my Master’s degree for the next 2 months so I can concentrate on Ember. Priorities, right? 🙂 I will be starting an agility class with her this week. Yeah!
Yay, Aiden!!! Lynda, you and Jack are such wonderful dog parents. Big hugs to Aiden and Dylan!
**LIKE** ditto that, and so very proud of all your accomplishments this year!!
Congratulations Team Aiden! Aiden always looks like he is having so much fun regardless of what he is doing. These are another set of gorgeous photos. Thanks for sharing.
Really love that photograph of Aiden and Jack – both look like the cats that got the cream!
Andrea, I haven’t heard that expression in decades! Love it and quite fitting!
Congratulations, great photo’s. Everyone on team Aiden, please take a bow. What a tremendous year.
*LIKE and Agree*
Rock on, Aiden!! Congrats!! I know how challenging outdoor venues can be. Tons of distractions. By the way…I just love Dylan’s expressions 🙂
Ditto on BOTH of Andrea’s comments!
Way to go, Team Aiden!
That video is something else, sirens, thunder, motors. Did he get extra points for working through all of that?
CONGRATULATIONS on another new title!!!!!
I too really like the photo fo Aiden and Jack. Aiden looks so proud to be with his Da (trying to spell that like the English would say Dad).
I also like the one year photos, isn’t it just amazing?
Aiden looks like he is doing super in IPO and he looks to be a good jumping dog, I know you will like that for agility.
Congratulations on the new title. Hard to believe 1 year ago he was that fuzzy puppy.
