Batman wants everyone to know that he’s moved to San Francisco and is doing great! I’m not sure if it’s a reflection of his increased maturity or what he learned at Camp Kayla (most likely a combination of both), but he seems calmer and more easygoing in the 3 days he’s been home.
We’ve identified an experienced GSD trainer in the area, who we’re working with starting this weekend. Health-wise, he’s doing pretty good! He’s in great shape (all that running around in Florida did him good!), but his allergies seem to be acting up again now that he’s in CA — we’ll go to the holistic vet to get his system recalibrated. He also has some tummy troubles, I think because of the travel and diet changes.
One bad thing about CA, there’s foxtail EVERYWHERE around here, so I have to be vigilant about making sure he doesn’t get into anything.
Thank you, Carole, for taking such good care of our Batling! He sends you big goofy kisses!
He looks great! Congratulations on working through this whole teenage nonsense. I am so glad that he is back there to enjoy summer by the bay.
Travel would not have bothered him. However, if you’ve changed his diet, that could be a problem. Batman has done great on the H/K and I would recommend keeping him on that. Any changes to a dog’s diet needs to be done gradually, or you do risk the chance of “tummy troubles”.
he is doing much better as of yesterday. I think it just took a couple of days for it all to settle. he’s on Embark and brown rice, with some canned pumpkin mixed in.
Love the paw on the back of the bed–so mature, He looks like he is saying “yes you nay adore me”. The girls are so jealous he has the ocean to play in. Maybe the cousins need to visit 🙂
you know we’d love that! Batman especially. From his time at Camp Kayla, he appears to love the ladies.
I’m so glad he’s “home” safe and sound! Boy, did I love having him in Florida. He’s such a great dog! Looking forward to the next adventures with Batman. I’m still planning on visiting you guys in July.
I’m glad you Battie is back with you. I’m sure you missed him. 🙂
Hugs for your reunion!
