We’re going to order one for her. Do you guys have problems with your puppies not bringing their ball back when playing fetch? I have been trying to play fetch with Ember and have two balls to try to get her to come back so I can throw the second ball, but she will circle me and then stop a distance away and not come to me and drop the ball, even when I show her the second ball and act like I am going to throw it. I started to work on her just coming to me and not taking the ball because I need her to come and I have had some success, but she is not very consistent with it. She will be very good about coming close to me and dropping the ball and the next time we play, she won’t come near me. Any suggestions?
Jennifer,
My advice would be….when she comes back to you..but does not *Out*…I make the other ball come to life…keep it close to the ground and move it around…get her prey drive going. At first..as soon as she outs her ball…I would let her *get* the other one(don’t let go of the rope) and play a bit…this it hopefully going to keep her attention…so you can move over and pick up the ball she outted first. Start over making the one YOU have the one the is the MOST FUN one to have….hoping that she will drop the one she has…then toss yours for her to get. Starting out..don’t throw too far..you want to keep her closer to you until she gets the hang of *out*.
I think the trick is to always be the funnest one with the funnest toys.
I hope this makes sense. ?? DuKe is not consistent with the game…but he is getting better with *outting*. We like to use the Kong squeeky tennis balls(I know they are bad…but he doesn’t get them for chewing). He likes the squeeky squeekness of them. But, the Gappay balls are for distance throwing…not so much for practicing catch.
She’ll get the hang of it. 🙂

Wild and craZy girl she iz!!! She is looking good Lisa!
Such a beautiful girl! She looks like she’s having a good time. I’ll have to get Ember one of those when she gets bigger.
You don’t have to wait. Libby and Ziva started playing & loving the Jolly balls right away.
Yep, DuKe had one before he even was here. She would love one. The handles make good teething toys.

Good job Goalie Ziva!
Your girls always look like they are having so much fun!
Ziva is the official party girl-always ready to play or go somewhere. BTW, Zeta is looking great. Wish we could all get together again.
Great pics. Won’t be too long before Manchester United is knocking at your door.
