I like the two shots I took from under the pine tree…then I brushed myself off in case of ticks! The shot with the date on it…yes, he is in my lap…:-)
We know they were little…only bc we have pictures of them. lol
DuKe isn’t really cuddly, but he does like to get up in the recliner with me. ??

U-Rock, DuKe said you hurt his feelers. 🙁 Grama Julie put his first red collar on him when he was a baby. Also, he said the red collar helps to bring out his red highlites in his fur. 🙂
U-Rock, you will be happy to hear that I put on his big black leather collar on him today. No, it doesn’t have spikes or stuff like that on it.
He is pretty handsome for a baby, isn’t he. 😉 Now he needs to concerntrate on filling out and maturing…I think he’ll be Gorgeous.
btw Carole I wasn’t sure if you sent those ear forms or not. Since they didn’t show up, I figured you sent them and they got lost in the mail. OR…you KNEW DuKes’ ears would stand up fine when they were ready. 😉

It’s ok U-Rock. I can take it. Now I’m 6 months old and almost growed up. My Mom said I should “respect my elders”.

lol if he’s sitting ‘with’ you in the recliner now, likely he’ll be sitting ‘on’ you in another four months:) I can’t figure that it can possibly be all that comfortable for them, but it doesn’t seem to matter:)
Barb, yep their whelping date was 10-01. I don’t think DuKe is going to get any taller… he used to grow whenever he slept! He’d have dreams of growing.
He pretty much sits ontop of me now, when I’m in the recliner. I move my legs, so half of him fits there and the other is ontop of me. 🙂 Comfortable for him? Please! LOL He has a super cushy pillow (that’d be me) and a nice soft blankie to rest his head on. He has lap dog supreme comfort. 🙂

Its too funny what we go through to make them comfortable! Syd jumps and hits all fours off the top of my big leather chair so that her butt will fall back and land perfectly into my lap…I tend to sit sideways in that chair, but do I make her stop …No. LOL, none of my other dogs were even allowed on the furniture hmmmmm.
ps.) Syd says DuKe looks hot in red … Cougar hussy:)
I’m surprised nobody mentioned his EARS! LOL
Baby teeth all came out and overnight his ear came up and stayed up all on its own. Yeah!!!

DuKe is mighty handsome…the first thing I noticed was that DuKe’s ears were up and how nice they look! Did you ever use the forms? Deiter’s left ear was quite stubborn but this week it finally seems to be staying up!

I never got any forms, so I didn’t use them. LOL
I just hoped that one he was done with all those painful teeth coming out and growing in…he could concentrate on his one ear. And it took a few days after his last baby tooth came out…that his ear came up. Since then, they have both stayed up at all times.
I’ll betcha that Deiters’ stubborn ear will remain up.

Red is not for girls—that would be pink. We put big bold red collars on many of our handsome and manly pups!
