It’s the Y-litter birthday!
Here’s Fenris, the fluffy birthday pup. Ignore all the hair in the crate. The little monster is blowing his coat.
“Can I have my birthday breakfast now? … How about now? … Now?”
Birthdays are celebrations worthy of a drink or two.
“One dog year is 21 human years, right?”
(Don’t worry. The bottle is empty and clean. He’s only trying to pick it up and bring it over to me.)

Devil’s Backbone is a local brewery in Virginia. Fenris’s (and James) drink of choice is their Vienna Lager. If you can find it, definitely try it.

Yippie Kai Yay says Happy Birthday bro. What handsome siblings I have!
Fenris still looks pretty dark – granted he’s in shadow, but I think his face looks darker than Kai’s. Very nice. I was just saying to Michael the other day that I wonder if/how much their coloring may change over the next year. Hard to believe they are 1 already.
The last picture is a pretty close indicator of how dark Fenris’s face is. The first one shows more of how red he is. I haven’t seen any pictures of Kai lately so I have nothing to compare it to. (Hint hint: Post More Pictures!)
I still feel that Fenris looks more like a puppy, partly due to his head and his size. He’s still only 63 lbs (a really stocky 63lbs) and doesn’t seem to be getting much bigger (in size, not weight). Not to say that it’s a bad thing, I just expected him to be larger by this point.
Ah well. We’ll see how much he’s changed by next year. Maybe he’ll hit another growth spurt.
