The family enjoying the snow at Interlochen State Park.
Doing a quick side step to catch my sisters.
There’s one of them. Maybe I should just take on one female at a time!
Yeah, one at a time!
There’s the other sister – older sisters are easier to chase!
But she’s quicker than me at catching snowballs.
Off we go for an “official” shot.
Da dah- this is as good as it gets this time, and it took a few minutes to get everyone looking in the same direction (well roughly the same direction!)
Love the “official” shot! Brrrr—this made me cold. I’d better close my doors and windows.
You are a card Carole!! It was absolutely freezing!!
Yeah, close those doors and windows, you wounln’t want to let any of that nasty warm air in.
I love the first picture, where they are all looking to see what kind of trouble they can get into first and where they are going to run.
Trouble with a capital T if we’d let them!
Nice pictures, Interlochen is just a 10 minutes from my house, but how did you keep them all out of the water? Da Boys would have been wet for sure.
Maybe it was just luck, but when they looked like they were heading too close, we did shout for them to come back. We really didn’t want to let them in the lake this time, because we couldn’t afford for them to get so wet they got too cold as we knew we would be leaving them in their crates in the car later that day.
Super to see your holiday pictures on the blog Andrea. I love all the action shots of the dogs at play. They look like they are having so much fun! Nice to see you (well your eyes!) and Matt too.
Thanks Lynda. It took me long enough to get them on here, didn’t it? For what ever reason, I could load the photos from my iPad onto my FB page, but not Julie’s blog.
I love the look on Matt’s face! All the dogs are absolutely gorgeous and so much fun to be around!
Yeah, I had to choose between a good shot of Matt or a good shot of the kids – the kids won!!!
I was so blessed to have spent about 6 weeks over the course of each summer in all of my growing-up years camping with my family at Interlochen State Park–my dad was a teacher, and my mom also worked at a school, so summers were all about family and travel. When they retired 23 years ago, they bought their dream home in the “neighborhood” adjacent to Interlochen State Park. Though my mom is no longer with us, I have the privilege of spending each Friday afternoon with my dad at his house. Interlochen is a very special place to me–so glad you guys had such a fun day there!
Sounds like a wonderful childhood! Two weeks every summer I would go to Perthshire in Scotland camping with my parents. Loved it so much.
Now Matt and I, along with the hairy kids of course, always make at least two camping trips up to Fisherman’s Island just outside Charlevoix each summer.
We love the Interlochen area and would one day like to live up there.
