Every time I read about how dogs were attracted to human settlements because of the “food dumps” it makes me bristle a bit. From what I have read early-man used (nearly) all the various parts of the animals they hunted as food, clothing, or tools, even building materials. So what would they throw into a food dump? The bowels?
I also read a theory that early man (Homo Sapiens, Neanderthals etc) learned to hunt by emulating hunting techniques of wolves.

Thanks for posting I love this dog-human evolutionary stuff!
