Just thought I’d share some awesome training pictures of U-Rock from this past weekend, courtesy of my friend Janet.
We were prepping for his BH training, which we plan to complete at the end of February (with fingers & toes crossed), along with some protection training, which is his favorite pastime.
If you asked me a month ago if this dog could ever do the long down without getting up, or walk by me so focused, I would have laughed out loud. And now, he is almost ready for his BH… amazing!
These pictures were taken outside the fence, playing and practicing.
Serious work… practicing for the BH walk with total focus…
Getting ready for the BH group walk practice…
The BH long down…. that horse stood there for the longest time and made the loudest noises. I thought surely U-Rock will get up to investigate, but he kept looking at me for permission and stayed down for the full 15-20 minutes.
“Hold & Bark” at the blind.
He just “oust” & getting ready for a Back Transport.
And “Supervisor” Lindy confirms that U-Rock completed his training correctly…. 🙂
Hopefully, by the time we take the BH we would have all the kinks ironed out. I can only say that this dog is absolutely so smart it’s scary. We have only been practicing for the BH for barely 3-months & I have to admit that the training is more for me than for him. He “gets” every new command so quickly it’s frightening… Handsome and smart… now, if he only had the money he would be the PERFECT MAN! 🙂 🙂
Very cool!! Crossing my fingers and toes, I will make Koda cross his paws!!
Last week, we did a looongg down, the decoys were throwing balls and stuff on the dogs to see if they will break their downs, Koda got hit in the face with a ball, then a bag and he didn’t break his down! PRoud mama moment!!
Thanks Josie… with Koda crossing his paws we should be totally safe. 🙂
And, I am so impressed with Koda. I can’t imagine U-Rock staying in a long down when balls are thrown his way. He would have been up and chasing them before I could even turn my head. Very very impressive! And you should definitely be proud!
Orly,
You and U-Rock look great out on the field. His attention and focus on you is super.
Good luck on the BH.
Orly,, You “both” Rock! Great photo’s. Best of luck on the BH.
Orly, you are doing great with U-Rock. He is BH material for sure.
He looks great! Good luck on that BH! We know you can do it!
Why to go Orly! U-Both rock! U-Rock is looking gorgeous and the work looks super. What is the name of the club you hope to do your BH? I am wondering if it is the same trial Barb and Susan are planning on trialing at?
Thanks you Julie!
The club’s name is “Wesley Chapel Total Dog Training Club”. Chris (my trainer) rcvd a call from Carole about the trial & Barb has also touched base with me. I sure hope to see Syd & Winston there for the BH. It’s an awesome field & an awesome club.
I wanted to go to watch Sydney but I think they told me its the 23rd and I’m going to Wicked that day. ;
Scarlett,
It’s the last weekend in February. Not sure if it’s Friday, Saturday, or Sunday.
It will be fun to see you again, if you do find some time to come. Touch base with Barb or I as we get closer to the date so we can tell you the exact day.
Thank you ALL for the confidence in us.
Being that it’s our first trial, I have to admit that I am a little jittery. If nothing else, this will definitely be a confidence builder.
For now, U-Rock & I are having fun & this is all that counts! 🙂
Hi Orly. So good to see pics of you and U-Rock. You guys look great. We will keep fingers crossed for you too, but by the looks of the photos you guys won’t need it.
Wow you guys look great!! And only practicing for three months – that ‘s fabulous!
Good job with U-Rock!
Yes, it is the same trial.
Then we WlLL be seeing photos by the AT south photographer right????
Only 3 months??? You guys are great. You will do well at the trial I’m sure.
Orly, U-Rock looks so good!!! It was great touching base. How cool is this turning out!! Fingers crossed for all of us. I’m a nervous wreck about Syd being in heat and how soon she will be sane enough to get her out there on the field before the trial. Thanks for your support!
