Things have been a bit busy here, so I haven’t posted much. Tim went to Nashville for a mini vacation this past weekend and Sammy spent some time with us. He is still such a wiggle butt and goof ball. He is always so happy to come visit. Tim and Sammy have a great relationship and I am proud of both my “boys”.  Sammy still loves us but Tim is definitely his person. I am happy they found each other.

My husband had a reaction to one of his seizure meds and was hospitalized for 4 weeks and then in rehab for 3. He has someone weakness still but is making progress.  All three dogs (and even Sammy when he was here over the weekend) are happy to have him home and don’t care about the walker or wheelchair.  We do need to remind Sade to relax because she loves him so much she sometimes forgets herself and launches herself at him to show her affection.

Sade is doing well with her training. It is a no brainer for her. She lives for it. We are working on the dumbbell and that is going well.  She has one of the fastest recalls I have seen but recently has begun to anticipate it and breaks before I call her. A few weeks ago, she not only anticipated the command but she decided that rather than sit in front she would give mom a kiss. I think you can imagine what came next. No, my nose is not broken but it does still hurt.

Ina is doing well but I have learned that she has a huge stubborn streak. On and off all day Saturday we were working ont the dumbbell and Ina will not take it, no ifs ands or buts. Mouth clentched and stubborn look. My daughter calls and the dogs decide the conversation is going too long. Ina especially does not like me using the computer ot talking on the phone. So she picks up the dumbbell and of course I have to make a big deal of it, right? If you are a dog person, you can imagine what happened next. My daughter thinks her mom has now completely gone to the dogs.

Hope all of you are well.

I’m so glad to hear your husband is doing better. We just started Andrew on Depakote too, hopefully no reaction.

These dogs sure have a way to embarrass us, don’t they? LOL! I am glad your nose isn’t broken or any part of your body!

I just hate it when Koda anticipates a command, so I change it up every so often. His anticipation is what failed us at our recent trial, but it’s ok, quite comical to watch actually. he he.

Good to hear from you guys!

Oh that Ina sounds too smart for her own good!

I’m sorry to hear about your husband’s health scare. I’m glad that he is on the mend.

Batman nose bopped me once — it hurt like hell. He of course feels no pain, but seemed remorseful when he realized he almost knocked out momma.

The dumbbell story is hysterical…only because she belongs to you and not me. LOL

Kira gave me two black eyes, not both at the same time, same eye, about a month apart.

LOL. I have to sometimes remind myself of the positives to Sade’s athletics. Jumping of course is no problem and she took to the dumbbell right away. Ina is still extremely stubborn about it. Since Sunday, she only gets to eat if she takes the dumbbell, so she now spends the day looking for it to bring it to me for food but she still refuses to take it when I offer it to her. So today on, she has to take it to get anything to eat.

Training wise, Sade is much easier. She takes to everything so quickly.

I am learning a lot with both these girls. They are such fun to train and live with.
