Just a quick update on Karen. She is more alert and clear-headed. She has been in a chair a couple of times and they used a lift for now. She has a bad rash and I think they found the cause. One of her IV’s is a fourth generation relative to Penicillin which is what caused the rash. She is on a general diet so everything is moving forward. Just rest, nutrition and PT to get her stronger for her to be transferred back to MI.
AWESOME!!!!
Great news, Al. Tell Karen to keep up the good work!
Al – I can’t even imagine. We think about Karen and you with a deep heart with every post. May the collective strength of the AT family support you both to health and happiness.
Betsy
This is fabuous news! Lets hope she has turned the corner.
This really is great news, and really helps to replenish the energy reserves for you both, I’ll bet.
I talked to Karen and she sounded good! I think she is on the path to recovery!!!!!
Woot, woot, woot!!! Go, Karen!
Woohooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!! God is good ALL THE TIME!!!
I agree wholeheartedly! I just listened to that very song, by Don Moen!
She is still impoving every day. We all thought that she started leaking from the surgery site because her drain tube was draining dark. The docks didn’t want to rush into another surgery and decided to just watch the drains and the leak stopped and the tubes are draining the color they are ment to be. i know, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that we are where we are supposed to be at. We just need to work on the tharapy and nutrition and soon we will be heading home. Thanks for all the prayers and well wishes. Will update later. Take care.
Thank you Al. Keep us updated. Hugs to Karen if she can tolerate, if not a kiss to her forehead will do.
Great news Al-heading in the right direction 🙂
We appreciate the updates, and this is wonderful news. We’re all behind you guys!
Though I don’t know why, specifically, I really felt led to post today’s entry from Sarah Young’s “Jesus Calling” devotional. Here it is:
“Do not let any set of circumstances intimidate you. The more challenging your day, the more of My Power I place at your disposal. You seem to think that I empower you equally each day, but this is not so. Your tendency upon awakening is to assess the difficulties ahead of you, measuring them against your average strength. This is an exercise in unreality.”
“I know what each of your days will contain, and I empower you accordingly. The degree to which I strengthen you on a given day is based mainly on two variables: the difficulty of your circumstances, and your willingness to depend on Me for help. Try to view challenging days as opportunities to receive more of My Power than usual. Look to Me for all that you need, and watch to see what I will do. As your day, so shall your strength be.”
