Me, Alta-Tollhaus Mister Tanner TDX (Tracking Dog Excellent) with judges Karen Phillips from Cleveland and Debra Huff from Lansing. The very fine host club was the Obedience Training Club of Greater Lansing. Our track was 3 hours and 25 minutes old, 830 total yards with 270 yards in corn stubble! It went past a cow farm from which we had a nice recovery after a leaping and barking moment. The corn was challenging and provided nasty footing and dastardly line handling opportunities for me. There was relief when we returned to alfalfa and simultaneous horror when I could not calculate whether we had enough distance and might be returning to corn. Much to our good fortune, onward 100 yards to the coveted glove.

I can’t imagine tracking in corn stubble. What an awesome job working through those conditions and earning your TDX.
