Karen is in surgery. She went in at 15:30 ct and they are looking for a leak around the surgery site from the pancrius/bowel. Will update her 10th trip to OR as I get the info.

She is out of surgery and they got the leak stopped for now. No promise that it won’t start leaking again but are hopeful. Next 10 days will tell us if she is on the road to recovery. If anyone wants to send cards this is her address:University of Minnesota Medical Center, Fairview
6D Organ Transplant Unit Room 506
500 Harvard St. S.E.
Minneapolis,MN. 55455
Thank you for the latest update Al. Thank you for the address. Special prayers for you and Karen.

We really appreciate the updates. I know it’s not always convenient to do the updates. We are praying for you all, and including the doctors, nurses, xray techs, lab people, everyone who has something to do with this. Praying for a special blessing on your day today.

This recently happened to a friend of mine during a minor surgery they nicked her bowel she got sicker and sicker before they figured out she was going septic. They went back in and fixed it and she is doing fine now but what a very scary experience. I hope Karen will heal up and that will be it as it is very serious. Will keep her in our thoughts.
