Karen went into surgery at 9:00 ct and they got to the pancreas and decided that the pancreas absolutely has to be seperated from the bladder. Did not tell me why  but said that it is going to be a long process. Will update soon.

surgery is over and doc came out and said she was very pleased with the surgery and every thing closed up and sealed as well as it could. Now the critical part comes. They are going to watch her for about 10 days and hopefully no bleeding and infections because her body is so weak that the healing process will be harder . So now it is pain management, nutrition, and start eliminating all the tubes. They will also ramp up the PT and as soon as she is strong enough and no bleeding, they will transfer her to Michigan for more PT. Thank you everyone for the prayers and well wishes and from the bottom of my heart, I love each and every one of you. God bless everyone.

In between the docs and nurses coming in. She has been sleeping a lot. Last night she was struggling with her BP and again today. No bleeding and everything else looks good. Main goals now are pain management, nutrition, and PT. Three keys to getting back to Michigan. Take care and update later.
