After the show on Sunday Jack, Donna and I took the dogs for a nice walk. Julie ordered pizza to be delivered to the Westin and she, Carole, Jackie, Peter, Jack, Donna and I ate it in the lobby as we were all too tired to go out for dinner.
On Monday morning we took Donna to O’Hare airport for her flight and then hit the road for our trip home. The weather was delightful so we stopped at the Pokagon State Park in Indiana to let the dogs stretch. They had a great time swimming in Lake James and running and playing on the beach and in the woods.
We made it as far as Erie, PA and stopped for the night at the Red Roof Inn. This morning it was overcast and light rain. We made several short stops to let the dogs out but were not able to take a long walk. We did get this picture while it was not raining at one of our rest stops.
Hard to believe this was Dylan and Aiden just 4 months ago at a rest stop on the way home from Michigan!
We made it home safely at 7:30pm. The cats were thrilled to see us, even Aiden! It was great to see everyone who came to NASS and we hope you all made it home safely too.
Ok, this is my first post to LDTs, I hope it works. I wanted to say “Congratulations!!” to the AT family that placed in the NASS. Some of these classes looked tough on paper with high numbers of entries, I can only image what they were like in person. Good job Gavin and Max. If you check out the pedigree database, you will see that their ratings have been entered. VP1 Ava what a super job and this was a big class also. And the Z gals had another large class and did well. All the others and hopefully I won’t leave anyone out: Sade, Broderick, Aiden, Blake, Yippiekaiyay, and the 2 furry kids Walker Texas Ranger and Yggdergisal. Congratulations to all, you must be SO pleased and proud with smiles from ear to ear. Enjoy the feeling! Terri and Rudi
Thank you Terri! I was very proud of all the dogs and their owners. You did great on your first blog comment. 🙂
Ok, you must have figured out that I am not too good at blog entries. 🙂 I don’t know how to start a new topic, so I guess my post will just continue on Lynda’s?? That’s ok, bc I also wanted to say “Thank you” to Lynda for sharing all the pictures. I went to the NASS site and I did not find any pictures. Pehaps, I didn’t look in the right spot?
Also, to Batmans’ mom…I am so sorry you had to come across such a rude person. You are a better person than I, bc I would have walked away from such hate. Neither you or your buddy deserved her intrusion.
Terri and Rudi
Thanks, Terri! Welcome to the blog!
Jennie,
How are you and Batman doing in Rally? If you need help, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with me. Rudi and I participated in Rally and he achieved RE. We weren’t ready for Open yet, and I wanted something to do to keep him (not ring wise but) ring ready, so we did Rally. It was fun for us, but we alway seemed to have fun together.
So, if you need help, let me know.
Terri
Awww after all the hard work, its fun time for these 2! Congrats to Aiden’s VP3!!
I think Aiden (and Ava too) is the type of dog that enjoy showing, a natural ham.
Lynda — Thank you for all the wonderful pictures! It was nice to see everyone at NASS — but I love the photos above — especially the ones with Dylan and Aiden playing and the last one. What a difference 4 months makes! Congratulations!
OMG those last two pictures are so precious! No matter what you and Jack do you always make it fun for the dogs. I love seeing the dogs be able to run full out like that.
Dylan is probably wondering what happened to his little puppy!
Dylan is soooo glad “his little puppy” is growing up. He did not like those sharp teeth!
GREAT photos, Lynda! The before and after pictures are the best. How time flies.
You Guys so need to do a booklet of good places to go w/your dogs while traveling. We most likely travelled the same route home and I know Ziva would have loved to go to that park.
Great pictures, and it makes it all that much more fun having met the kids!! I just love the before and now pictures, and am looking forward to future Dylan and Aiden adventures!!!
These guys always look like they are having the best time! The last two photographs are priceless. I bet Dylan is glad Aiden is maturing!!
