“What? I’m just visiting…”
“I’m just relaxing, nothing else…”
Just wanted to share with the AT familiy how great our wonderful Xavi is doing. Xavi is quite the traveler and goes with us everywhere. He’s been spotted (and welcomed, lol) at airports, stores, carnivals, parades, restaurants, you name it, he’s been there. Xavi is friendly, self assured and quite the worker. He continues working on aglity, obedience, protection and tracking. Also loves swimming in the pool and Big Lake with his family.
Xavi also likes to play with his children and to watch his flock of chickens, just to make sure…they are only his to eat! It’s funny how Xavi get this look that seems to say “What’s wrong, I’ll help” when another dog/dogs start going crazy when they see him yet end up backing away when Xavi just keeps his cool and confident demeanor. We are grateful to Julie and blessed to have Xavi in our lives.
A-litter Ypsilon x Maika
Hi Rod,
What a handsome boy!!! I love all the things you have done with him.
Thank you for the post and sharing him with us.
Julie
He is a very handsome boy. This A litter is so consistent and all georgous. I see your NY tee shirt-are you in NYS? That is where we are also.
Lisa, we are actually on the west side of Michigan but we love NYC. I believe I got that shirt on our 1st trip to NYC.
I am a huge Maika fan because she produces some of the most gorgeous GSDs!
Xavi is no exception, what a gorgeous head and his eyes reminds me of Odin. Wow. They just draw you in, very soulful.
I love the chicken pic, Koda would have killed every single one of them already.
Josiem, those chickens are lucky to be alive and its a “fine” balance between having Xavi roam the backyard and us watching him like hawks to defend the chickens, lol.
Undeniably a gorgeous Maika male. I just love seeing such a variety of situational shots…what a great A-T kid!!!
It’s almost impossible to wear an AT dog out, but in that last picture of Xavi, it really looks like you may have come close to it, Rod! Great job socializing and getting your handsome boy in to all those activities.
Is that a Wiemeramer or a blue Great Dane in that 7th picture with Xavi? Our son has a blue Great Dane that looks similar, and gets along great with our Dutch. They’re almost the same age, and have so much fun together until they collapse into sleep!
Beverly, I believe the dog was actually a thin and tall chocolate lab. Eiter way, it was a nice and safe dog for Xavi to play with.
Yes, and I should have noticed the thick rudder-like tail and shorter legs – our other dog is a chocolate lab!
Great to see all these pictures of Xavi. Thanks for posting them. I am very interested in seeing the A litter pups as they are growing up.
