Bailey got to run in two days of NADAC agility this weekend and did well. She had 12 runs and qualified in 9 of f them! I was particularly pleased with her first two runs, which were novice weavers (three sets of 6 poles with tunnels and hoops to make up a course)- she was flawless on both runs.
She finished her first title with her first regular (standard) run. This is her Novice Agility Certificate (NAC). She qualified again in the second round and qualified in both rounds today, so that gives her 6 Q’s total in that class, and that gets her an extended title- outstanding novice agility (O-NAC). so she has two titles! We still stay in novice and try for the superior NAC (10 Q’s).
The other Q’s were in chances and tunnelers. We came up short in both jumpers runs.
Overall I got to run four dogs in a total of 36 runs over two days. I am tired! it was a tiny trial and I calculated that on Saturday I was running an average of once every 12 minutes. the weather was rainy but Bailey was a trooper and did fine no matter what the weather was.
I took a picture with her ribbons but it didn’t turn out well and I couldn’t get it downloaded on this computer, so use your imagination to see her surrounded by a bunch of flat ribbons (no rosettes at this trial- low budget, but that keeps the entry fees down).
Congratulations Charlene! You have done a marvelous job with Bailey in such a short period of time!
I think that is amazing how many runs you got in, and those runs are not easy, turns, twists, speed changes, etc.
Ziva says, good for Momma Bailey.
