Update 10/9/12:
Al asked to report that Karen had surgery today to repair to tears in her bladder. The tears, they think, are related to the pancreas transplant several years ago. they are hoping this will help relieve some of the pain and help her blood pressure regulate. Please saying prayers for Karen. She can have flowers but there is no room, however there is a lot of wall space for cards.
This week Karen was flown out by Wings of Mercy to Minnesota. While Al drove and was in the room waiting when Karen arrived.
This is Karen’s address:
Fairview University of MN Medical Center of Fairview
Karen Sessions Room # 6-502 Solid Organ Transplant
500 Harvard St. SE
Minneapolis, MN 55455
Al is taking Family Medical leave and has been for the last month.
Please get better, Karen. We’re praying for you and Al and David, and for your doctors to be the best doctors that God has ever, ever made. We love you, Karen. Please get better and come home soon.

We thank you all from the bottom of our hearts and after the surgery every thing is a wait and c but the docs were in and said possibly go back to Michigan and recover with PT. We will pray and c what her body tells us. It has been a very long road and have a long way to go but with you all as prayer warriors and the best support group ever. She has to get better. The AT Family rocks and we love each and every one of you. GOD Bless and will report soon. Oh yea, thank you Julie for helping me get reconnected with the family again
I hope she comes home soon Al! Let me know if there is any way I can help!
Well it is Wednesday and I do not have good news, They were going to move her up to the regular floor on the sixth but the docs came down and told us we have to stay in ICU. She still might have a leak going on which means they may have to mess with the pancrius. That will be a very difficult road if we have to take that road. She also got the first results back from the cultures they took from surgery and she does have a bacteria in her stomach area and have to grow out the cultures to see what strand it is. They have her on strong anti-biotics and dilotted pain meds are barely touching the pain. Morphene may be the next option. I just want it to all go away. Not her go away, but the PAIN and SUFFERING she was been going through and IS going through. Oh ya, she also may have a blood clot in her left arm so we are going for an altra-sound today also. will update later. Lord I give my wife to you. heal her from the inside out and take this pain away. Amen and Amen
Amen. Al, you are both in my thoughts and prayers. Much love and good thoughts are coming your way.
Prayers for you and Karen, hang in there and know we’re all right there with you.
Al, we are so sorry to hear that you did not get better news/results today. Poor Karen. It is awful to be in pain.
Please know you, Karen and David are in our thoughts all the time.
